Archival Ink PrintLetinsky's photographs interrogate mainstream and historical representations of love and romance, exposing the social conventions that shape these supposedly intimate realms. Through large-scale, richly saturated color images, she reveals how the personal is inextricably bound to cultural constructs. Her compositions embrace darkness, chaos, and ambivalence, creating a concentrated visual language that challenges romantic idealization and reveals the complex tensions beneath conventional depictions of desire.
“Letinsky’s interest in the optimism of desire deshames and dedramatizes the sexual event, at the same time as the bigness of the images reflect on the huge internal dramas that produce it.”
